Of this world
We are made of the same stuff as the ocean
Tears and sweat are just saltwater and we’re used to drifting
Still going all the way back to the place that we were born
May be seen as re-uniting, but it’s not that far from drowning
Bon voyage my love
May your sunsets be fireworks dancing on the waves
There are endless reasons to forget dry land
But the open sea is not……………………. all a body craves
Its unavoidable that we should feel
As special as we do, we try so hard
To find the ways that we are different
From the rest
But it is futile after all, if we could
only see that far we’d know the
Infinite is not a trifle it took eons to
grind mountains made of rock
Into sands just fine enough
To dull the jagged edges of our sacred
mother earth
Bon voyage my love
May your sunsets be fireworks playing on the waves
There are endless reasons to forget dry land
But the open sea is not all a body craves
There are some boats that don’t need an
anchor
And plenty more do fine without a sail
But if you go out to sea without a compass or a rudder
You’re going to need an oar, to help you back to shore
There are some who go to sea as re-creation
More to put rice or bread on their tables
But whether it’s a yacht, a Boston Whaler
If there’s no land to return to you will soon exhaust your stores
Bon voyage my love
May your sunset’s red lips kiss blue waves
There are endless reasons to forget dry land
But the open sea is not……all a body craves
